This year marked his significant breakthrough into leading man roles in Hollywood, securing a contract with Universal-International. He starred in several prominent films including Carnival Story, Six Bridges to Cross, and Four Guns to the Border, which led to him winning the Golden Globe for Most Promising Male Newcomer.
1963
After his Hollywood career waned, Nader found immense success in West Germany, beginning his iconic run as FBI agent Jerry Cotton. The first film in the highly popular series, Schüsse im Dreivierteltakt (Death at the Red Light), established him as a major star in European cinema.
